  • We’ve designed our beeswax candles to burn cleanly and beautifully, but a little care from you will make all the difference. Follow these simple tips to get the longest, safest, and coziest burn from your candle:

    • Trim before you light. Keep your wooden wick trimmed to about ¼ inch before every burn. This helps your candle light easily, prevents smoking, and keeps the flame steady.
    • Let it melt. For the best burn, allow your candle to stay lit until the melted wax reaches the edges of the glass. This prevents tunneling (wax left along the sides) and helps maximize burn time.
    • Burn smart. Don’t burn your 8 oz candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This protects the wick and helps your candle last longer. Always burn on a heat-safe surface and never leave a candle unattended.
    • Keep it clean. If the flame gets too high or flickers, blow it out, trim the wick again, and relight. Wooden wicks do best when kept free of charred bits.
    • Reuse your jar. Once your candle is finished, you can clean out the remaining beeswax and refill or repurpose the glass. Here are a few easy ways:
      • Hot water method: Pour hot water into the cooled vessel. Once it cools, the wax will rise to the top and can be removed.
      • Heat gun or blow dryer: Warm the wax gently until soft, then wipe clean with a paper towel.
      • Oven method: Place the jar in the oven on the lowest setting as it warms up (never put cold glass into a hot oven). Once the wax softens, wipe it clean with a towel.

With just a little care, your beeswax candle will burn brighter, longer, and cleaner, giving you the most out of every cozy moment. 🐝
